Night vision is a mechanic in The Isle which allows dinosaurs to see in the dark.
Night Vision was added to The Isle in Patch 0.1.10.2452.

The quality of the night vision depends on the dinosaur you're playing as. Carnivores tend to have higher quality night vision then Herbivores. The quality is based on the view distance of the night vision.
The night is far darker then you'd think. Night vision isn't exactly a on/off switch for seeing at night, you can only see a area around you. So its recommended to keep it on during combat or if you are tracking someone.
All tracks are lit up when Night Vision is enabled.
The Dilophosaurus currently has the best Night Vision.
Evrima:[]
Night vision in Evrima was added in update 5.5 and will be expanded on in update 6.5. It functions very differently compared to night vision on the Legacy branch; instead of a colorless, relatively small area seen around the player, night vision in Evrima allows the player to see a much larger area around themselves, with white outlines around any physical object in said area.
How to use:[]
It can be activated by pressing the N button. It requires at least "Post processing" in graphics options at "High" to work.
